Instructor Classes

Class available almost anywhere, anytime around the world.

No water work needed so the class is available

• In-person on-site where instructor trainers are near or willing to travel to.
• In-person by webcam with a high-speed Internet connection. Use your webcam or rent ours at ZERO net cost. Details below.
• Video exchange. Where other options are not available, we exchange videos. Contact SeaSigns for details.

Eligibility for Instructor class.

Open to anyone approved by their agency to teach this class which currently inclued instructors of any agency & SSI DiveCons.as this class is more about signing skills than diving skills.

Levels of instructor classes

• Instructor - Allows you to teach students in your certifying agency. Teaches you to make & read signs and recognize when students are making signs incorrectly. Generally takes about 4 hours depending on class size and your preparedness.
• Instructor Trainer - Allows you teach instructors of any certifying agency. Further refine sign making, recognition, & correction skills by practicing teaching SeaSigns IT or SeaSigns Training Director (TD). For the SSD IT class & test we have you teach one of our personnel twice as you would an instructor class (while we play a muddled instructor) noting what you would do differently when teaching students. The first time allows you to hone your skills as an IT and the second time is your final exam, to be sure you have absorbed the necessary skills. Takes about 8 hours.Satisfactory completion allows you teach instructors of any certifying agency and students of any agency you are certified to teach students within.

For WEBCAM class details

• High speed internet access needed – Cable, DSL, or T1 (some satellite connections may be acceptable)
• Use your equipment - At least 800 MHz computer; 256 MB RAM; 30 frames/sec webcam; and PC Headset.
• Rent our equipment at ZERO net cost - We rent the equipment to you. When you return it, we send you a Student Instruction Pak worth your rental charges.
• Software and Conferencing - The webcam conferencing software is available FREE on the Internet and no hourly charges apply for its use.
